Timothy Spann Obituary

Timothy Deonne Spann “Tim” was born on December 5, 1977 in Gulfport, MS to the union of (late) Tommie Lee Spann Jr. and Frances Lee Spann. He grew up in Portland, Oregon. Tim attended Vernon Elementary, Whitaker Middle and high school at Serendipity Center. He later went on to enroll in classes at Portland Community College. At the time of his passing, he worked as a Central Sterile Technician at Legacy Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon where he was proud to be a part of the Legacy Health family.

Tim did not proclaim any particular religion, but his love for people and his dedication to righteousness were clear signs that he believed in God. He was adored by many because of his kind heart and lovable personality. Tim was well known for having a hilarious sense of humor. He had the ability to lift anyone's spirits. His passion to be the most stylish person in the room along with his sense of style were as vibrant as his affection for other people. Tim took great satisfaction in his notorious shoe game, which his nieces and nephews admired. He was that cool uncle they all loved dearly.

On March 1, 2024 in Portland, Oregon, Tim left this world to join in paradise with his paternal grandparents, Tommie Lee and Limmie Lee Spann; maternal grandparents, Frank Jones and Edna Lee Boyd; beloved father, Tommie Lee Spann Jr.; beloved oldest sister and brother, Helen Jones-Mosley and Michael Spann who all preceded him in death.

Tim leaves to cherish his precious memories- his dearly loved daughter, Ariana Coleman; precious mother, Frances Spann; siblings: Andre Spann, Tommie Spann, Aurra Rooper, Juan Jackson, Sandra Bowman, Sammie Grihm, Ivory “Tina” Knott, Patricia Sims, Pamela Paul, Candace Spann, and Latoya Ruffin. Close brother-in-laws: Chad Rooper, Raymond Mosley, and Dennis Knott. A host of nephews and nieces. Everyone has a commitment to continue his legacy. May he rest in Love, Peace, and Harmony as he will forever be in our hearts.
