Stanley Rocky Willis was born January 18, 1955 to Mae Louise Willis-Moore and Nural Willis, Sr. in Portland Oregon. He was the fifth child of eight children.
He attended Holladay Elementary School and Jefferson High School. In 1973 he graduated from Vocational Village School majoring in Culinary Arts. He was employed at the Monte Carlo Restaurant as Head Chef and was well known throughout the community. His specialty was Italian Cuisine.
Stanley enjoyed fishing at Long Walk and Saint Paul, Oregon. He was an accomplished pianist and started playing at the age of four. In his later years, he played at the Northeast Senior Center and other venues in Portland, Oregon. Stanley’s favorite music was jazz.
He was well known and touched many lives in ways no one would ever imagine. God uses phenomenal people in the most peculiar places to have a profound impact on humanity, Stanley was one of those people and will never be forgotten.
Stanley was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Louise Willis-Moore; father, Nural Willis, Sr; brothers, Edward Willis and Jimmy Simms; sons, Sharvel Willis and Stanley Willis ‘June-June’.
He leaves to celebrate his loving memory his son, Stanley Willis, Jr. ‘Buddy’; brothers, Michael Willis and Nural Willis Jr; sisters, Linda Simms, Rosa Simms and Estena Simms (Elaine). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
