Sheryl Wolfington Obituary

Sheryl Ann Wolfington was born in Vancouver Washington and raised in Portland Oregon. Her parents, Jarold and Idabelle, welcomed her into the world on October 25, 1956.  The heavenly father called her home to glory on June 5th, 2023, resting peacefully at home. Sheryl was the youngest of three children, brother Theodore Wolfington and sister Lorna Wolfington both from the Portland, Oregon area.

Family, education, religion, friends and goals were cornerstones for Sheryl. She attended Adams High School and took interest in continuing her education to further career and interest opportunities. She participated in a paralegal program, additional law courses, private investigator courses, and interior decorating courses to name a few. She took pride in her work as a helping
professional spending the majority of her working years at the Red Cross and TriMet. She was always working towards bettering herself, friends and family with intimate conversations, advice and trying to listen for understanding so she could engage fully with who she was connecting with.

Sheryl was always deeply religious and found comfort in the Lord's word. She belonged to Highland Christian Center and New Song Community Church. Her relationship with Christ was like no other and she was always willing to share the “word” and took comfort in what He had in store for her and her loved ones.

Sheryl enjoyed many things throughout her life. Tending to her roses, making calls and catching up with friends and family, “people watching” (as she called it), going on walks, enjoying the outdoors and shopping are just a few of the many hobbies and activities she enjoyed and took pride in. She loved to talk about anything and everything. Sheryl would talk to you for hours. She engaged fully in conversations with others, showing a deep interest and care. She loved to listen but also always offered understanding, advice, help and support. She was an honest, genuine, loving person, who loved people; especially her family and friends.

Sheryl loved hard, she loved deeply and was always looking out for those who were close to her. She expressed this through her giving nature and loved to pass on blessings she received to others. You’d rarely ever leave her house empty handed.

She leaves to celebrate her life and carry on her memory through her three children Marcel Brooks, Carmen Ceaser, and Mischel Brooks; two siblings Theodore Wolfington and Lorna Wolfington Perona; Grandchildren Ricardo Brooks, Camyha Ceaser, Laila Brooks, Sadie Brooks, Saphira Brooks, Sunshine Ceasar, Miles Brooks, and Carmen Ceaser. In addition, nephews, nieces, bonus family and a host of friends.
