Shawndell LeAndre DeShazo II

Shawndell Le’Andre DeShazo II. , Affectionately known as “Dooba”, was born November 5, 1992 in Portland, Oregon to LaShelle Mason and Shawndell DeShazo I. Shawndell received  his elementary education at Sitton elementary and he attended Floyd Light Middle School. He attended high school in Southeast Portland. At a young age, as far back as Kindergarten, Shawndell had a way about him that could bring anybody together. There was something about his charming personality and magnetic smile that drew people to him; causing them to have great love for him.

Shawndell carried the nickname, “Dooba'' Rightfully so, the name just fit him because the family said that it meant “Do What I Wanna”. Shawndell would jump off the roof, down the staircase, over garbage cans, and many other things, and say I am ok with his boyish laugh. Shawndell loved to play football and basketball at a young age and wanted to be the  entertainer while he was doing it,  always making the shots and dancing or throwing up his hands like ‘Yeah I did that to you,” with that million dollar smile right on deck with him.

Shawndell went on in life and found a love for music. He would sing in the shower, over the phone to his friends girlfriends, for his friends and family that were close to him. Music was like breathing fresh air to Shawndell and he loved it. Shawndell was pursuing his music career before his untimely death. Shawndell's greatest love was becoming a father to his 4 beautiful children and his stepson. Shawndell also loved his family and friends. Shawndell will be greatly missed. 

Preceding him in death are Grandfathers, James Mason and Charles Welch; Grandmother, Thelma DeShazo; Auntie, Pat DeShazo, Great Grandmothers, Great Grandfathers; Great uncles Robert Lawson, Dale Goldsby, Andrew Locke, Cousins Sherell Byrd, Anthony James Gray, Uncle LaShone Lawson.

Shawndell leaves to mourn: Mother LaShelle Mason, Father Shawndell DeShazo I. Grandmother Evelyn Mason, Sisters: LaNesha, Tiera, Skylah, Marsaye, and Naomi; Brothers; LaShone, Stephon, Le’Andre, Dre, and Dominique; Lots of Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and friends, and his children; Shawndell III., Amoni, Keion, Brooklyn and stepson Jason.
