Ronald "Fish on Ron" Charles Gaines at 72 years of age, unexpectedly escaped Earth on November 18th, 2021, due to a heart condition. He is rejoined with his wife, Julie; mother, Lillian; & father, Clayton.
Ron was born on May 13th, 1949 and attended Lake Oswego High School. After graduation he felt the wind at his back and pride in his heart to protect his country. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he received metals and badges for his skills in sharp shooting and National Defense.
Ron owned his own business the last several years of his career, Coloring Dimensions. This is where he was able to follow his true life's passion; of being the best smile maker, fish giver and storyteller. Genuinely connecting to people is what made him radiate with charisma and having a unique spark for life that rubbed off on others. This was his true calling in life and sharing his endeavors and tales with his friends and family will be greatly missed.
Anyone who knew Ron was touched by his kindness, humor, and mild temperament. He was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity.
He is survived by his three daughters, Kristin, Alicia and Nichole; along with three grandchildren, Julian, Josephine and best buddy Holden-Dean; as well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him more than words can say.
There will be a Celebration of Life held in his honor at McIver State Park the weekend of August 12, 2022.
