Robert Lewis Rogers was born on December 7, 1938 to Willie Lee and Willie Mae Rogers in Arkadelphia, Ark.He was the youngest of three boys blessed from this union, Willie Oliver Rogers the oldest and Jesse Lee Rogers, Sr. the middle.His parents moved from Arkadelphia, Ark to Vancouver, WA in 1942, due to his father working on the railroad he attended school in Vancouver, WA.
Robert's career started early as he left high school and join the Airforce in 1955 and graduated high school while in the Airforce. After the service he worked in various industries, but the longest employment was with AGC (Associated General Contractors of America), then he worked for the State of Oregon for the apprenticeship programs until he retired and of course being a Pastor/Bishop. He preached at various churches in the Portland area, and ended up at House of Prayer For All Nations in North Portland.
Robert was married three times over his life and was blessed with three children: Andre Rogers and Franchone Rogers - mother Joanne (Johnson)
Rogers, Nicole Rogers - mother Barbara (Patrick) Rogers. He was a grandfather (Marcus, Franchone Jr, and Tamera) and a great grandfather.
He is preceded in death by first wife Joanne Rogers, son Franchone, brother Willie Rogers, parents Willie Lee and Willie Mae Rogers.
He leaves behind his son Robert Andre' Rogers, daughter Nicole Rogers, brother Jesse Rogers, Sr. (Shirley Rogers), nieces, nephew, grandchildren, great grandchild and host of friends.
