Robert Keith Bowden II was born January 29, 1973, in Portland, Oregon to the late Robert Keith Bowden and Rev. Helen Ruth Brown-Bowden. Robert, being named after his father, was called “Keith” by his family and friends growing up.
Keith attended Vernon Elementary School during his early years and transferred to Faubion Elementary in 2nd grade to attend the same school as his big sister Marjorie. Over time he went on to elevate his love for music at Jefferson High School, being a scholar student, let “Keith aka Big Rob”tell it he made honor roll all four years, he loved to make up stories just to see if people would believe him. He began to D.J. for local house parties where he became popular for being the life of the party. Keith was taught by his grandfather the late Rufus “Buddy” Brown how to be his own boss and to be an entrepreneur at an early age. When Keith was old enough, he got his first job at Fred Meyers during his high school years. After graduating from Jefferson High School in 1991, Keith later received the opportunity to come on board with Pacific Power and Light for an apprenticeship program, After completing the program, he realized he wanted to become his own boss and being a jack of all trades, he was a master at sales.
Keith was blessed to become a father to his first-born son Robert Keith Bowden III on June 22, 1992, that day changed Keith for the better. Keith had the gift of gab; he was a jokester he loved putting together big BBQ’s and dinners with family and friends. He meant something to all of us and impacted our lives in some way. To some he was “Voglamourity or “Voe” or “Big Shot Bob”, or “Keifer”, “Keith”,”Keithy” “Lucious” or “K-Bob” but all around he was a real stand-up guy who loved his family.
