Ricca was born in Portland, Oregon on November 14, 1956. He was born to Jannie Lou and Neshell Ott. Ricca was called home to play in the heavenly choir on September 16, 2018.
Ricca attended and graduated from Grant High School, shortly after that he discovered the world of music. He played in an assortment of bands. Finally he chose to be a member of the gospel group, The Light in 2003.
Ricca’s mother always knew he had a calling to be a pastor even as a child. He brought her words into existence when he became an ordained minister in 2011 with True Vine Church of God In Christ.
Ricca found pleasure in serving the community. He and The Light traveled the United States spreading the word of the gospel with the ministry of music and praising the Lord. Pastor Ott ran a transitional home called the Jannie Lou Ott home for five years– serving African American men in our community.
Ricca found the love of his life Deborah Stevenson in 2007 and shortly married in 2008. He became a loving step father and a devoted husband. He was truly a loving and Godly man.
The one thing he loved more than anything was his children and grandchildren.
