Otis Thornton 79, was born to William Thornton Sr. and Beatrice Thornton on February 18, 1946, in Bastrop, LA. He attended Bonita Rosenwall Elementary school and Union High school. After high school he moved to Portland, OR. in 1964 where he started one of the first Hand Car Wash and Auto Detailing businesses. After retiring his business, he went on to work as a Longshoreman until he retired. We honor the life of a devoted man who built his world around family. He was the one we could always count on, who showed up without being asked, who listened without judgment, and who loved without conditions. Whether we needed guidance, comfort, or simply a familiar voice, he was there with an open heart and a helping hand. His loyalty was unwavering, and his support held our family together in ways we often didn’t realize until now. We will forever remember him as our dependable, loving anchor, and the memories of his constant support will continue to bless our lives for years to come.
