Oscar Booker Jr. (Junior) was born August 4, 1928 in Temple, Texas to Oscar Booker Sr. and Ida Mae Clark Booker.  He was the youngest of three children.

He served in the Armed Forces in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956. Just before being discharged from the Army Junior met his wife of 65 years Betty Jean Bird.

Junior worked for Union Pacific Railroad and eventually left to barber at Raiford’s Barber Shop. In 1956 he started Courtesy Janitorial Service with his brother Floyd N. Booker Sr. In time Junior started working for himself under the name Oscar Booker Janitorial. As the business grew Junior and his son Randy renamed it Oscran Janitorial Service. Through the business he was able to provide work experience for his children and grandchildren Edward Lincoln, Cardis Berry IV, LeAndre Lambert, Brandon Lincoln and Austin Booker. He created employment opportunities to many individuals.

He and Betty traveled to Reno, Las Vegas, Spirit Mountain and other casino’s in the northwest where he enjoyed his favorite games poker and craps. They also went on several cruises that included stops in the Bahamas, Barbados and Jamaica. Prior to Junior’s decline in health he could be found most mornings presiding over world events with the “Organization” at McDonalds as “Chairman of the Board”.  He enjoyed his time at Dawson Park surrounded by a younger generation who looked upon him as a father figure and appreciated his wisdom and colorful
language.

Junior was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae Clark Booker, father, Oscar Booker Sr., sister Nina Booker Merida and brother, Floyd N. Booker Sr.
