Onesty Love Jones was born to Serithia LaFrances Binns and Cedric Dion Jones on July 7, 2007, in Portland, Oregon at Emmanuel Hospital. Onesty attended Rosa Parks, Kelly elementary and Lane and Davinci Arts middle school, all of Portland, Oregon. Onesty moved to Arlington, Texas in 2019 and graduated from Young Junior High School. Upon returning to Oregon, she attended Franklin High School and Rosemary Anderson High. Onesty had dreams of attending Spellman University.
Onesty was a bright and creative young lady. She was very loving and inspired all those that she touched. Her smiled literally lit up a room and her giggly laugh was so infectious! Onesty possessed multiple talents, many of which she inherited from her mother. Her favorite two were styling hair and creative dance. Onesty was young but she always stayed fly! She had style and grace. She knew how to “put it on”. She did not play about her appearance and had a unique style of her own. She always stepped outside the box and set trends. To know Onesty is to love her. She was very charming and always got what she wanted from you. Her networking skills were beyond her time and her family dubbed her “Lil Raythieeboo!” She could slick talk anybody!
While growing up Onesty enjoyed spending time with her cousins. They would get together and play dress up, sing songs and make up dances. They all were raised close. She really enjoyed the family functions and the many pictures that were taken.
Onesty was her father’s only child, she was well loved and adored. As a child there was nothing, he wouldn’t do for her. When Onesty was around her father, she was so spoiled. And as a teenager, Onesty would always connect with her father. Onesty shared a very special bond with both of her parents. They were inseparable. Onesty really looked up to her mother and adored watching her get dressed. Or sing and dance while cleaning up. She watched in admiration as she styled her clothes and beat her face. No matter where Serithia was, Onesty wanted to be with her mom. And she always kept in close contact.
As she grew older, she partook in basketball, track and African dance. She was an avid writer, and you could always catch her spending time writing in her journals. Prior to her transition, she had the highest GPA in her class. She had obtained her driver’s permit and was looking forward to getting her license and a new car. She was on the road to success. She had a plan to return to Texas on 7/9/23, where she would have reunited with her brother Marcus. She had many plans for her bright future and was looking forward to graduating high school and continuing her education at an HBCU with hopes of joining a popular dance team.
