Nelson James Sears

Nelson James Sears passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at OHSU at the age of 53.

His Mother, Fredericka Williams, and nephew, Keith Goins Jr, preceded Nelson in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, Father, Nelson Lyons of Seattle Washington; Stepfather, James Williams; Brother, Evan Williams; Sisters, Regina Thompson (Lawrence) Leanna Sears of Sacramento California, Lillian Ashton (Clyde) of Portland, Oregon; Nieces, LaToya Givens, Fredericka Anderson, Jaliyah Crane of Sacramento California, Thorresa Warren and Samaiyah Ashton of Portland, Oregon; Nephews, Joseph Crane, Lonny Powell, Lorenzo Powell, Elton Ward, Elijah Ward, and Joseph Goins of Sacramento California; as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.

We will miss Nelson, but we look forward to seeing him again in the new system where there will be no more pain and suffering.

There will be no public service or viewing for Nelson. He is to be reunited with his mother at Lone Fir Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nelson’s Doctor, Nurses, and caregivers for the excellent care Nelson received while at OSHU.
