Minister Kevin Len Cooper, born November 26, 1968, in Portland, Oregon, passed from this life on December 12, 2025, at the age of 57, in his place of birth.
Kevin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and man of faith. He is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Annette Cooper; his children Willie, Ronald, Javena, and Antoine; his grandchildren Javiona, Shylei, Asia, Davion, Jaria, Aria, Kamiyah, King, and Josiah; and his great-grandchild Loyal. He is also survived by his brothers, Albert (Robin) and Edward (Latoya); his sisters, Lola (Larkin) and Nella; and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas and mother Linda Cooper, his grandmother Leola Seamster, his siblings Earl and Ronnie Cooper, and his niece Alexandria Cooper.
Kevin had a love for fishing—though he rarely came home with a catch, often saying with a smile, “I had to throw it back.” Dominoes was his game of choice, and after giving his life to the Lord, he chose to play for candy—Twixt, to be exact.
Kevin gave his life to the Lord 21 years ago and deeply valued and honored his relationship with the Heavenly Father. Not long after, he united with HeavenBound Deliverance Center Church, now People of Purpose, where he experienced ecclesiastical elevation, serving faithfully as Brother, Deacon, and ultimately as Minister sharing the gospel witnessing to men, women, and children, sharing the love of Jesus, and encouraging those who had not yet surrendered to try Jesus.
Scripture tells us that we are living epistles, read of men—often the only Bible people will ever read. Kevin was mindful of the pages his life displayed, exemplifying an overcomer who turned away from drug addiction and street life and never looked back once he came to the Lord’s side.
He took his vows seriously—to love, honor, and cherish his wife; to raise, teach, and love his children and grandchildren in a way that would please God; and to serve faithfully in the church, work he truly enjoyed. He also deeply loved his extended family and looked forward to family gatherings as opportunities to reconnect, spend time with the younger generations, and encourage them to pursue God, follow their dreams, and stay out the streets.
Professionally, Kevin worked in the glass industry for over 20 years and was grateful for the privilege of working alongside his brother and best friend, Albert.
Minister Kevin Len Cooper leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, service, and transformation that will continue to speak for generations to come.
