Michael Jackson Obituary

On May 17, 1960, Earnestine Fisher and Harvey Jackson had the honor of welcoming Michael Jackson into the world. Michael was raised in Portland, Oregon with his older brother and abundance of cousins.

From an early age, Michael was a lover of music especially the guitar which he taught himself how to play and inspired him to start his own little band. Michael also loved sports he played baseball and football for Jefferson High School, and he played every position in both. Michael liked to say he was a comedian in his own way since he was a very funny man to everyone who knew him, he was also full of style and grace.

Michael first became a father in his senior year of high school to daughter Melissa in 1978. Years later in the 1980s Michael met his wife Laranda Fleming and throughout the 80s Michael would welcome five additional children to the family. Throughout the years Michael was a jack of all trades, A skilled laborer, working many jobs from being a lumberjack, working in shipyards and steel mills until his unfortunate accident in 2009 which left him quadriplegic.

Michael did not let his disability stop him from being the best partner, father, son, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather he could possibly be. He gave his life over to the Lord and became a member of Life Change Church.

Proceeding him in death is Harvey Jackson Sr. (Father), Anthony Jackson/Bear (Brother). He is survived by Earnestine (Mother), Harvey Jackson Jr.(Brother), and wife Laranda Fleming, 6 children: Melissa Jackson Hall, Mikinya Jackson, Michael Jackson Jr., Sirguy Waller, Marquita Jackson, and Marcus Jackson, 12 grandchildren: Jamya Johnson, Alexa Jackson, Ladarian Williams, Mykayla Epps, Ta'Nasia Jackson, Ahmont Jackson, Tariya Jackson, Nyssa Jackson, Tyus Jackson, and 4 great-grandchildren Jadayah, Calvin, Mykel, and Johsiah Jackson along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
