Michael R. Booker Sr.

Michael was born September 2, 1954 in Portland, Oregon to his parents Floyd N. Booker Sr. and Mary
Julia Matthews Booker. Michael raised in Portland, attended Boise and Woodlawn Elementary schools.
His high school years included Benson Technical and graduated from John Adams High School in 1972.
Michael also attended in 1974 Cal Poly in Pamona, California, later to achieve an Associated of Arts
degree from Mt. Hood Community College. Michael had a strong and compassionate career for
members of the recovery community (substance abuse). He maintained key roles in the advocacy for
housing and support services to ensure clean living. Michael celebrated 25 years of sobriety – May 25,
2019.
