Maxine Delores (Mayo) Smith

8/27/1941 – 3/14/2021

Mom passed away on March 14, 2021 in the care and loving arms of her daughter, Kelly Smith.  She grew up in Bradford, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bradford High School in 1959. She lived in Jamestown, NY and worked for Cummins Engine Plant and Chautauqua County. She moved to Albany, Oregon in 1979 where she worked and retired from Hewlett-Packard. She graduated from Linn Benton Community College, where she earned her degree in metallurgy, and she enjoyed cooking, good coffee, making jewelry and spending time with family and friends. Maxine is survived by her sister Deborah Mayo-Crawley, and 5 of her 6 children (Lee, Teena, Stephen, KrisAnn and Kelly), as well as 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharie Lynn Smith, her parents Lawrence and Maxine Mayo and 2 sisters, Claudia Oden and Pamela Mayo.
