Martha was born on September 10, 1953 in Monroe, Louisiana to Annie Jenkins and Elmos Jenkins. She was the 5th out of fourteen children, Martha spent her younger years in a small town of Winnsboro, Louisiana where she loved to dance for entertainment.
She came to Portland as a teenager, Martha was born with disabilities. She worked for Ed Water, DePaul, learning how to be independent. Martha was also very friendly and was loved by everyone who crossed her path. Martha loved spending her time sitting outside on the porch with her twin sister Mary talking about old times. They both loved watching Lifetime movies together, she also loved taking walks, and shopping.
Martha will be greatly missed by family and friends. It will not be the same without her, for her spirit and for the special place she carved in each of our hearts.
She leave us to celebrate her home coming and those she loved to touch, to cherish her memories, sisters, Mary Jenkins, Clara Jenkins, Pamela Jenkins; brothers, LeRoy Robinson, Charles Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins, Ruston Jenkins; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
