Larry was born in Worms am Rhein, Germany to his loving parents, Else and Edwin Fuller. Living in Germany, Larry was six-years-old when he met the first relative from his father’s side of his family, Uncle Curley, who gave him a red fire truck that Larry kept for many years.
As an only child, Larry was introspective, creative, spiritual, and humorous. Adapting to – and excelling in – diverse environments came easy to Larry. He matriculated at schools in Furth, Germany, Minneapolis, MN, and Portland, OR. In Portland, Larry attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School, Martin Luther King Elementary School, and one year at Woodrow Wilson High School. He completed his secondary education in 1976 at Wiesbaden High School in Germany.
He was a beauty and beast on ice skates. Larry competed on Portland’s junior hockey team at the age of 15. Five years later, Larry began a six-year skating career with the prestigious Ice Capades organization. He later had careers with America West Airlines and Stardust Resort in Las Vegas. In 2006, Larry moved to Portland to be closer to his parents.
At 62, Larry passed away peacefully in his sleep. He is now enjoying eternal rest with his maternal grandparents Margarete and Conrad Hoerner, and paternal grandparents Audrey and Morie Fuller
