We are here to celebrate the Life of Kwame N. Lawrence a Father, Son, Brother and Uncle, most of all a friend.
Kwame was a very Loving young man that lived life his way.
Kwame was born January 29, 1972 to Beverly and Robert Lawrence in Portland, Or.
Kwame went to Meek Elementary and Whitaker Middle school and Jefferson High School.
Me Me to those that knew him would go to church with his grandparents and was baptized, he sang in the choir with his cousins and brother, during the summer he would travel to the coast with the family. He loved being outside, he played baseball on the team that his dad was the coach for which was Riverside, he was on the team with his brother Robert, cousin Donta and Jerry Jr.
Kwame, Robert, Donta,  Jeannen,  LaNae, Jerry and James all would dance and Pop Lock in the basement of his uncle Jerry Lawrence Sr. house. The cousins would gather and go to Irvington Park to watch the Football games and Peninsula Park to the Jam Session.
Kwame enjoyed cooking so much he got a job at the Village Inn, McGraths and Treasure Chest, you would also always find Kwame in the kitchen cooking and laughing and making jokes and funny faces, that was just who he was a jokester.
Kwame met and Married Damonica Moore, they spent countless hours together enjoying life and each other. He loved the lord and was a ordained minister at Greater Mt. Gillard Church where his aunt Rena Allen was the First Lady. He could preach and pray, to know him you had to love him, he had a beautiful smile and a loving heart, and when you were around him you knew that he loved and Cherished every moment that he spent with you.
Kwame leaves to mourn him, his daughter Shawnta grandchildren Robert Avary, his Father Robert Lawrence Sr. (Maureen), His Brother Robert Lawrence Jr. (Kim), Jason Scott(Nicole), His Sister Robin (Rodrick), his sister Ressie and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and many friends
As we say farewell to Kwame we do it with heavy heart yet filled with love to have known him.
Even though he no longer walks among us, his spirit lives on in the memories we all hold dear.
Kwame will be missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
Our Family would like to thank each and every one that came to show support, called, sent cards and just loved Kwame the way we did. God Bless. The Family .
