Kelvis Levone Owens was born on January 5, 1970 in Dothan, Alabama to Lemmie Lee and Millie Ree Owens. He moved to Portland, Oregon in the Spring of that year with his parents, sister Wanda Owens, and his brother Lyndon Owens.
Kelvis Owens unexpectantly departed from us on January 6, 2024 and will forever be missed. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his father Lemmie Owens, mother Millie Owens, sons Emmanuel LaMar Owens (daughter-in-law: Ashley Owens & granddaughter: Aliyah Owens) & Elijah Owens, Sr. (daughter-in-law: Marlene Owens, grandsons: Elijah Owens, Jr & Jeremiah Owens, granddaughter: Elisabeth Owens) and daughter Nautica Owens (grandsons: Justin, Ji' Airre, & Jasiah Scott), brothers Lyndon Owens, Sr (nephews: Lyndon Owens Jr. & Maxwell K. Owens, nieces: Brittany Keely-Owens & Tamerra Overton-Owens, great-nephew: Kahleil Jamarie Chiles, great-nieces: Naomi Owens & Keimya Neshell Chiles) and Zachary Thornhill, sisters Wanda Fields (brother-in- law: Michael Fields, nephews: Mike Jr., Gabriel, & Daniel Fields, nieces: Demetra, India, and Angelica Fields), Felicia Mackey (nephew: James Mackey, IV, nieces: Chamela Jenkins and Jaiva & Jazmine Mackey, great-nephew: James Mackey, V & great-niece: Sariyah Zaid), Jennifer Lynne Tharp (nephew: Andrew Lee Crawford & niece: Mya Michelle Tharp), Tiffany Thornhill (nieces: Imani & Nia Adams and Nivea, Indiya, and Naomi Causey), and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Kelvis was a loving son, caring brother, devoted and awesome father, amazing grandfather, kind cousin, respectful nephew, and a faithful and trusted friend to many. Even though his body is gone, the spirit of his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and whom he loved.
