Joann was born February 9, 1938 to the parents of Earl and Jessie Mae Hunter. Joann was born in Colbert, Oklahoma and soon after the family moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma, where she spent most of her childhood years.
She stayed with her grandmother in Ardmore while her parents moved to Oregon for work in the shipyard. After her parents were established, they moved Joann to Oregon where she attended Roosevelt High school, and then Jefferson High School.
One of Joann’s greatest pleasures was being surrounded by her family, and she also enjoyed gardening, especially her roses and tomatoes. She loved taking vacations with her family.
Joann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Cloman, three of her children; Lavelle Bates, Leonard E Cloman, Walter Cloman and a grandson, Kevin Hill.
She is survived by her daughters; Annetta Hunter, Judy Robinson, and Callie Lewis, and one son Frank Cloman. Joann also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, all of which have brought great joy into her life.
