Jimmy L. Moore Jr. was born to Jimmie L. Moore Sr. and Louise Watson on October 6, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona. Louise eventually relocated with her two children to Portland, Oregon when Jimmy Jr. and Josie were young adults.
Jimmy loved using his hands. He once worked as a prosthetic limbs designer, and spent many years at the shipyard. He eventually discovered a love for carpentry and became a Journeyman in the field, belonging to the carpentry's union until he passed.
One of Jimmy's favorite things to do was eat. He loved to barbeque, get down on fresh seafood, and make his famous peach cobbler. His dry humor will be missed by his family and friends.
Jimmy was preceeded in death by his father, Jimmie Moore Sr. of Woodland Hills, California, and by his grandson, Xavier Moore.
He leaves behind his mother, Louise (Watson) Beasley of Portland, Oregon; sisters, Josephine Brown of Portland, Oregon, Ivy Moore, Vickey Moore, and Brenda Williams of California, and Linda Williams of Arizona; his children, Jimmy O. Moore, Antoine Moore, Anthony Moore (Tamika), LaTosha Moore (Fred), Nieshelle Johnson, LaMarcus Moore (Faye), and Danny Moore (Patrisha) all of Portland, Oregon; twenty-seven grandchilren; seventeen great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
