Jerome Ollison was born August 27, 1952 in Portland, Oregon to Robert “Bob” Ollison and Martha Peters. Jerome attended Elliot Elementary School and graduated from Jefferson High School. He played softball and was incredibly good at it.
Jerome worked many years at the Swan Island shipyard. Jerome loved his family and was very protective of them. He loved music and thought he could sing, but you could not tell if he was singing or crying.
Jerome met and fell in love with the mother of his children, Mary Mickens.
Jerome came to know Christ many years ago when he became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He involved himself in church activities like volunteering for the church’s food bank. Jerome also had his own personal seat on Sunday’s.
Proceeding him in death is his father, Robert Ollison and mother, Martha Ollison; sisters, Rhonda Ollison, Phyllis White, and Cewilla Cravens.
Jerome is survived by his children, LaRome Ollison, NaCheryl Ollison, LaCheryl Ollison, and LaTasha Ollison; siblings, Cedric Ollison, Ernest Ollison, Rosella Peters, Arneda Jones, and Sonja Ollison; grandchildren, LaRome Ollison, LaRontae Ollison, Teosha Ollison, Zi’Liyah Sims, and ZaRiyah Sims; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Ollison, Izaiah Ollison, Amir Ollison, and Oshea Ollison; as well as a host of uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
