Jeremiah Ned Sr., a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend was called to his eternal resting place on April 4, 2023, at age 70.
Jeremiah entered this world on August 31, 1952, in Fazendeville, La. He was born to Alfred and Artemise Ned. (a fond memory of his sister Jacquelyn). As a child he would always watch for his mother walking down the Alleyway so he and his siblings could make sure the house was clean before she reached the door. He would yell and let them know that "Mama was coming."
Jeremiah was a PFC (Private First Class) in the United States Army serving from September 1974 to June 1976.
Thanksgiving 1998 at a family gathering Jeremiah met and fell in love with the love of his life Joann Washington. The two shared a life together as Jeremiah moved into the same apartment complex just to be closer to his sweetheart during their courting time.
Later, on April 28, 2000, the two joined in marriage. Jeremiah was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He left a legacy of love and faith in God and his word. He was an awesome example of the way a man of God should walk and talk.
Jeremiah joined the men's group at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church’s Celebrate Recovery Program, where he became a friend and brother to an awesome brotherhood, and later joined the Greeters Board, and became a "Life Group Leader."
