Jeremiah Henry George Garrett III was born in Portland, Oregon on December 18, 1980 to Angela Campbell and Jeremiah George Henry Garrett Jr. Jeremiah has been charismatic and joyous, with a loving nature, undeniable by all who encountered him since birth. He attended Applegate, Irvington Middle School, Trinity Lutheran, and Lincoln High School. With Jeremiah’s personable nature, quick wits, and brilliance, he quickly rose to a management position and outperformed many in sales. As a trusted Top Sales Associate for two years straight, he was relocated to Sacramento, California, in January of 2014 to open a new office.
His infectious smile and comedic ways kept everyone around him in good spirits. He always wanted family and friends around him to feel good, to be happy, and feel loved - he did all he could to ensure this. Jeremiah had a very big heart. No task was too big for him. He learned many skills and further built on everything that was taught to him from his studies, elders, and as the thinker he was even life itself. Jeremiah also excelled as a Chef, studying at Portland’s Culinary Art Institute. His favorite dish to cook was Gumbo, being intrigued by the mixing of spices and the process itself. His love of good food, the art of cooking, and fine dining took him to experience and taste from different restaurants. After sampling other Chef’s cuisine, he always said, "I can make this better."
When you hear stories about Lil Jerry, it reminds you of his altruism - he truly believed no one was greater than the next. Another way Jeremiah displayed his compassion was in giving… clothes, food, shelter, anything and everything. Literally the coat off of his back. He even cooked huge elaborate meals, including his gumbo, and he put everything in his gumbo, so you know every bowl had some goodness and no expense was too great. And anything you wanted, if he didn’t have it, he would get it. Anyone was worth it.
