Jeffrey Mack Obituary

Jeffrey Lee Mack was born on December 15, 1969, in Gainesville, Texas, to Judy and Jimmy Mack. He grew up alongside his twin sister, Jennifer; siblings, Julie and Jessica and was surrounded by cousins, aunts, and uncles. Throughout his childhood, he shared a close bond with his friend Chris Adams. Excelling in both athletics, particularly football and basketball, and academics at Gainesville High School, he also participated in the Talented and Gifted program and sang in the Gainesville Community Children's Choir.

After obtaining his engineering degree from DeVry University, Jeffrey ventured into the medical industry, focusing on the repair and quality control of medical equipment. Subsequently, he transitioned to Applied Materials, where he worked as a software engineer for nearly 28 years, allowing him to travel extensively to countries such as England, Italy, Singapore, China, Japan, Thailand, Canada, Germany, Hawaii, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Alongside his professional roles, Jeffrey delved into real estate and stock market investments, offering guidance to others seeking knowledge in these areas.

In his personal life, Jeffrey relocated to Portland, Oregon, in 1996, where he met his wife, Joy, two years later. They married and welcomed two children, establishing a vibrant life within the community. Despite his numerous achievements, Jeffrey continued to expand his ventures, co-owning a nail salon in Texas, founding The Jayah Rose Salon with his wife, mentoring individuals of all ages, coaching basketball, and producing Gospel and Fashion Shows through Antrax Entertainment, a company he co-founded with his brother-in-law Anthony Jones.

An avid sports enthusiast, Jeffrey enjoyed biking with family and friends, particularly his nephew Tayo, and maintained a rigorous workout routine five days a week. He cherished family gatherings, engaging in games and sharing a deep affection for children and infants.

In 2023, Jeff was diagnosed with stomach cancer that rocked his life and his family's. He battled cancer for over a year. There was a miraculous healing in the middle of his battle with cancer where he had a full recovery, but after a few months it returned.

The second part of the battle was fought hard. He believed in and loved God with all his heart. He is resting with God and there is no longer suffering. He passed at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

During his last days he received treatment at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas where his cousin, Stephen Bryant, and wife, Tessie Bryant, hosted him and his wife in their home during treatment. Jessica Mack-Givens traveled to Houston to assist Joy in Jeff's care during his last days.

Jessica's love and devotion will never be forgotten.

Jeffrey Mack peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord at his home with his wife of 23 years, children, and loved ones by his side on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 12:05pm.

Preceding him in passing are his grandparents, Willie and Janelle Pogue, and Obie and Ruby Mack.

He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife Joy Mack; his children Jaden Mack, and Jayah Mack. His parents Judy and Curtis Daniels, and Jimmy Mack; his siblings Jennifer Mack (twin), Julie Mack, Jessica Mack-Givens, Senola Mack, Jemeka Mack, and bonus brother B'Jard Jones. Father and mother-in-law, Eldon and Ruby Jones and siblings in law; Eldon Jones Jr. (and wife Trina Jones), April Jones (and husband Tony Blocker), Cherie Jones, Anthony Jones (and wife Portia Jones), Ruby (Nene) Jones, and God sister Tiffany Lee. His aunts and uncles; Jane Harriet-Russell, Timothy Pogue, and Ada Nicholson, Ruby Johnson, Gussie Parker, Kelvin Mack, and Edward Mack. And many cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
