James Cornelius Crain Sr. was born September 12th 1956 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Priscilla Wilson and Willie J. Crain. Him and twin brother Jerry were the third and fourth born out of 7 siblings. James attended Central Heights grade school in Texas. James moved to Portland, Oregon and would later go on to attend Adams High school.
James worked as a carpenter for many years in Vancouver, Washington before he was forced into retirement after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle.
If you didn’t see him you would most definitely hear him coming with his trade mark Woo WOO, or his one of a kind laugh. Whether you knew him by Boldy, Country or Country James, you always knew what you would get from him. He was a Man that always was himself, love it or hate it.
James was preceded in death by son, Deron Albert Dupree; parents, Willie and Priscilla Crain; and brother, Albert Earl Crain.
James leaves to cherish his memory children, James Crain Jr., (The twins) Jamila and kahmila Crain; three grandchildren, Zai’Veionna E’Miah James, Ja’Leena Crain and Talonah Evens all of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Henry, Nathaniel, twin Jerry, Arlester, and Eddie Ray Crain all of Portland, Oregon.
He will most certainly and definitely be missed!
