Jacques P. Poirier, Sr.

Jacques Paul Poirier Sr., 54 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on the early morning of December 4th, 2023, at home.

Jacques was born on September 21, 1969, in Escondido California to Frank D. Poirier Sr. and Angela Carol Poirier. He attended Centennial High school, Barlow High School and Portland State University.

He went on to work for George Moreland Plumbing, which led him to start his own business in excavation. Jacques ran POY-A Excavation, DE-BAR Construction and ShaJack Excavation specializing in residential and commercial projects. He dedicated his life to his business for over 30 years.

Jacques Poirier was a beloved brother to Frank D. Poirier II and Barton W. Poirier. Jacques’ biggest pride came from being a father to son Daniel Warren, son Jacques Paul “Jack” Poirier II and daughter Rylee Poirier. He was a Papa to grandson Oliver Warren.

Jacques was known for his infectious personality and telling stories from his life experiences. He was a gifted athlete, and his biggest passion was coaching, mentoring and watching his son Jack excel at football and baseball as he did. Jacques brought his intelligence, charm and humor to everything he did. Jacques opened his home to everyone and loved spending weekends with Jack and all his best friends.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Surviving family include Daniel Warren, Rylee and Jack Poirier, Tracie Poirier, Frank Sr. and brother Frank Poirier II.

A celebration of life will be held on January 13, 2024, at Parklane Christian Reformed Church. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Jacques's life.

Our family is so humbled and grateful for the love and support we have experienced in the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the GoFundMe, sent flowers, brought food and to those who have called and came by to visit and share their stories and experiences of Jacques. These gestures have helped us so much.
