Henry Johnson was born in Portland, Oregon on February 5th, 1950. He was the 4th child of Clara Mae Brox. Henry attended Boise elementary school, Eliot middle school and Cleveland high school where he played trombone in the band. Henry’s siblings describe him as funny and caring, All who knew him describe him as well dressed and the ultimate mechanic. Henry maintained an entrepreneurial spirit his whole life and lived with the utmost verve. Henry was preceded in death by his mother Clara; son, Henry (Turk) and grandaughter, Eileen. He leaves behind his wife, Verita Gill-Johnson; 8 Siblings, Maxine Swanagan, Walter Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Wesley Johnson (Sandra), Boyce Johnson , Stressla Johnson, Bonnie Johnson and Samuel Ezell and his aunts, Mary (Punie) Rogers and Ida Mae Miller. Carrying on Henry’s legacy are his children Henry, Mario, Lashunda, Uverna, Nykisha & O’Marr, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and several step-children and children who called him dad and grandpa. Henry passed away on Thursday, August 19th, 2020 in Portland, Oregon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
