Obituary

GEORGE GORDON WAS BORN JANUARY 9, 1954 IN UVALDE TEXAS TO JOE GORDON SR. AND SAVANNAH PHILLIPS.GORDON. THE FAMILY MOVED FROM TEXAS TO LAGRANDE, OR. IN 1959 THE FAMILY SETTLED IN PORTLAND, OREGON.

GEORGE WAS AN IDENTICAL TWIN. NOT ONLY WERE THEY IDENTICAL IT WAS HARD TO  TELL WHO WAS LAUGHING WHEN THEY WERE TOGETHER, BECAUSE THAT WAS IDENTICAL, TOO. GROWING UP YOU DIDN'T USUALLY SEE ONE WITHOUT SEEING THE OTHER ONE. HE NEVER REVEALED THE TRICKS THEY PLAYED ON PEOPLE,

GEORGE GORDON ATTENDED HOLIDAY SCHOOL AND MARTIN LUTHER KING SCHOOL  (FORMERLY HIGHLAND SCHOOL). HE ATTENDED JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL AND GRADUATED IN 1972. THIS IS WHERE HE MET HIS DEVOTED WIFE OF 44 YEARS JANICE LAMBERT. GEORGE AND JANICE WERE UNITED IN MARRIAGE ON AUGUST 21, 1976. IN 1981 THEIR MARRIAGE HAD A NEW MEANING. THEIR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER JANESHA  WAS BORN. ONE CHILD WAS NOT ENOUGH, IN 1984 THE SON HE ALWAYS WANTED GEORGIO JOINED THEIR FAMILY. GEORGE MADE SURE TO CAPTURE FAMILY EVENTS AND VACATIONS ON VIDEO MEDIA. BECAUSE OF HIM WE HAVE A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES TO RE-LIVE FOR THIS WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL.

GEORGE WAS A HARDWORKING MAN, HE RARELY MISSED A DAYS WORK, HE WORKED AT PORTLAND WILLAMETTE FOR 45 YEARS UNTIL THE COMPANY MOVED TO MONTANA. HIS WIFE AND KIDS WERE HIS PRIDE AND JOY AND PROVIDING FOR THEM WAS WHAT HE LIVED FOR. GEORGE WASN'T A MAN OF MANY WORDS BUT HIS HEART SPOKE VOLUMES, HE MADE SURE HIS CHILDREN WANTED FOR NOTHING AND PROVIDED THEM  WITH WHATEVER THEIR HEARTS DESIRED. HE SPOILED ALL OF HIS NIECES AND NEPHEWS AS WELL. THEN ALONG CAME HIS 5 GRANDKIDS WHO HE LOVED DEARLY AND THEY EACH RECEIVED THE SAME ROYAL TREATMENT.

GEORGE WAS A HERO IN HIS FAMILY'S EYES. HE SAVED A BABY'S LIFE WITH HIS FAST ACTION GETTING AN INJURED BABY TO THE HOSPITAL, WHEN NO IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER WAS AVAILABLE TO HELP. HE KNEW THE MOTHER NEEDED EXTRA SUPPORT, THEREFORE, AFTER TRANSPORTING THE MOM AND BABY TO THE HOSPITAL HE LATER RETURNED WITH A VERY CLOSE RELATIVE SO SHE WOULD HAVE THE SUPPORT SHE  NEEDED

GEORGE DEPARTED THIS EARTH ON APRIL 16TH, 2021 (HIS WIFE'S BIRTHDAY) WE BELIEVE THIS WAS HIS WAY OF MAKING SURE HE WAS A PART OF HER SPECIAL DAY FOR ETERNITY. WE WERE BLESSED BY THE LOVE OF GEORGE AND HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED BY ALL WHO HAD THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING HIM.

HE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FATHER-JOE GORDON SR., MOTHER-SAVANNAH PHILLIPS-GORDON AND A NEPHEW WHOM HE LOVED DEARLY AND TREATED LIKE A SON, JODY GORDON.

HE LEAVES TO MOURN HIS PASSING, WIFE-JANICE LAMBERT-GORDON. DAUGHTER JANESHA GORDON (LARRY), SON-GEORGIO GORDON (SKY).
