On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, Fred Lenell Bennett, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at the age of 61.

Fred Lenell Bennett was born in Portland, Oregon, on December 14, 1958. He was born to Fred Bennett and Bennie Louise Allen. Fred spent his life in the beautiful City of Roses, Portland, Oregon. He graduated from John Adams High School. Soon after high school, he married his sweetheart, Denise Kay (Johnson) Bennett, on June 19, 1980. The two of them raised four children, Sherrice, Fred Jr., Deontrell and Leontrell.

Fred spent over 30 years of his life dedicated to impacting the lives of youth, serving as a baseball coach. In addition to his love for coaching, Fred had many hobbies, of them all, he enjoyed barbequing and had a passion for selling vehicles. He appreciated the uniqueness of each car, carefully restoring and reselling them to eager buyers.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother, Bennie Allen. Fred was a loving husband, father and dedicated grandfather. Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Denise; his four children, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Additionally, Fred leaves behind his younger sister, Nicole (Allen) Jackson, nieces, nephews and host of cousins.
