Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Felecia Lewis. Born in Portland, Oregon, on October 23, 1957, Felecia grew up in Richmond, California, and dedicated her life to uplifting others, pursuing social work as her true calling.
For decades, Felecia was a pillar of strength and compassion in the community. She was a woman of profound faith and charity, always extending a helping hand to anyone in need. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, and she made it her personal mission to ensure families were adopted for the holidays, personally delivering gifts to bring joy and hope to those who needed it most. No matter the personal sacrifice, Felecia always put others first.
Above all, Felecia cherished her family. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loved ones, wrapped in her favorite color, purple, and radiating warmth. She was a fiercely devoted mother to her daughter, Dejauzsa Tillman Owusu, and an outstanding, doting grandmother to her four beautiful grandchildren, Carmelo, Valentino, Nayeli, and Thalia.
Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. While we will miss her every single day, her profound love, strength, and legacy of service will live on in our hearts forever.
