Liz is survived by her children, Tyne Lizabeth Perkins Boyd-Lutfullaeva (son-in-law Shakhsamar M. Lutfullaeva), Lauren Rene' Perkins-Boyd, and Ammon J. Moore; her mother, Katherine Elizabeth Borgan; her sister, Colleen Ellen Perkins-Chamberlain; and her beloved grandchildren, Annabelle Marie Mitchell and Duane Lee Hayes, all of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by many cherished sober brothers and sisters whose lives she touched deeply. Liz was preceded in death by her father, Darrel Lee Perkins.
After graduating from high school, Liz began a long and accomplished professional career. She first worked in the service industry before moving into executive-level administrative roles across multiple industries. Known for her exceptional organizational skills, professionalism, and leadership positions, she held positions with Assisted Living Concepts, Portland Public School District, Oregon Health & Science University, and Franz Bakery. She also worked as a freelance executive administrative professional and was pursuing a career in real estate, continuing to build on her talents and ambitions.
Above all, Liz was a devoted and hardworking mother. Fiercely independent and stylish, she had a gift for bringing people together and creating welcoming spaces. Artistic and highly capable, she skillfully managed both projects and the people in her life. Those who knew her will remember a woman who was outspoken, principled, and courageous. She stood firmly for what she believed was right and never hesitated to speak her mind. Her bold spirit, sharp wit, and authenticity will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church (The Great Hall), 1624 NE Hancock Street, Portland, Oregon 97212.
Liz's life was defined by perseverance, love, and an enduring commitment to those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
