Edward Jones

CPO Edward Jones, a proud veteran of the US Navy, passed away December 16, 2021, after a long illness.

Edward was the youngest son of Rev. William Mac Jones and Lula Belle Wingard Jones of Redfield Arkansas. There were 10 children born to this union.  Edward graduated from Merrill High School where he played baseball, football and Choir. He loved laughing about & sharing stories of being the youngest of the "Notorious Jones Brothers". Edward loved his family, and he would travel home & to as many of his Family Reunions as he could.

At age 20, Edward decided to enlist in the US Navy. He would say enlisting gave him educational opportunities, job training, travel, and serving his Country. Edward saw action at the end of the Vietnam War. Edward valued his 20 years in the Navy. He trained as an Engineman and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He would also receive numerous awards, citations, and commendations. After retiring from the Navy, Edward started another career as a Stationary Engineer for the State of California working in the Prison Systems. After moving to Oregon, he worked for Classique Flooring & Carpeting Company.  He loved working with his hands, repairing, inventing, and helping others with his skills.

Edward is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Jones and their 3 children. Keenan Jones, wife Melanie, and son Dominic. Also, Keenan L Jones Jr, Ashley Jones, Ty Jones, Tia, Tyrese, and Anthony. Also 5 grandchildren.

Kendall Edward Jones, wife Tiara. Elijah Cohen-Jones, Quaylynn Cohen, and wife Emma. Jayden, Harmony, Mason, and Aryiah Jones.

Kaysha L Jones-Hoff wife of Rachel Hoff (recently deceased) Stepmom to Daphyn Cammack and Miriam Vance. Grandchildren Violet and Emmett Vance.
