Edward “Ed” D. Dobbins was born November 1, 1946, to William Henry and Myrtle Dobbins in Decatur, Alabama. On Saturday, September 19, 2020, God called Ed to his New Heavenly Home.
He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and became a member of Kings Memorial Methodist Church. After moving to Portland, Oregon, Ed was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church and attended until his death. Ed had a wonderful sense of humor and a big smile. He was easygoing, and had a kind, gentle spirit. Ed met Pat, a visitor to his hometown, while in high school in 1961. Ed and Pat kept in touch and married on December 30, 1969.
