Edith Harold Obituary

Edith Mae was born June 7, 1958, to the union of Curtis George White & Victoria Blufoes in Malden, Missouri. She passed away into God’s graces after a brief battle with cancer. A warrior throughout life, Edith Mae was 63 years old when she passed away on April 30, 2022. She attended Malden Public Elementary School in Malden, Missouri, where she lived for a short period of time. In June of 1979 she graduated from Portland Community College with a master’s degree in Business Management. During her youth she moved with her grandmother, Edithe Williams to Blythe, California. In 1973 she married Sharron Lester Brooks. On January 11, 1974, they had a beautiful babygirl named Sharon Louise Brooks. A few years later they moved to Portland, Oregon. In 1978 she worked at Excedus Tax Company on NE Alberta Street, and later went on to work at the shipyards on Swan Island starting as a fire watcher to cleaning oil tanks. She later retired from Columbia River Correctional Institution as a receptionist.

"Mae" is survived by many loving individuals, including her mother, Victoria Blufoes of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Sharon Louise Brooks of Portland, Oregon; husband, Kenneth Mill of Portland, Oregon; foster daughter/niece, Linda Leslie of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Gwenetta Williams of Oregon and Erikia Rea-Kirk of Kent, Washington; other siblings, Charles Ramey of Lavenworth, Kansas, Vanessa Howard & Victoria Smith of West Memphis, Arkansas, Latina Rogers of N. Little Rock, Arkansas, Yulunda White of Little Rock, Arkansas, Winfred Love of York, Pennsylvania, Torris Watkins of Tuscan, Arizona, & Alissa Bonner of Montgomery Village, Maryland; 8 grandchildren, Joe'vonntae Lamario Sanders of Portland, Oregon, Danielle Lee Howard-Hooker of Jackson, Mississippi, Quan'neisha Za'Quese Brooks-Hooker, Edeasha Laura-Mae Hillman, Eboni Louise Hillman-McCallister, Va'Lynncia Sha'veonntae Johnson, Caressa Fantia McCallister, Zynita Elizabeth "Lizzie" Brooks-Studium all in the surrounding areas of Oregon; aunt, Ruthie Spain; 1 great-grandson; 3 great-granddaughters; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis George White; grandmother, Edithe Williams; brother, James Williams; great-granddaughter, MaKyla; many aunts; uncles; cousins; & her niece, Sherese Harris.
