Donna Madden Obituary

Donna Mae Madden after a gradual decline in her health, died at home on  February 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Donna was born in Martinez California to the proud parents of Lloyd G. Madden and Sallie Kate (Alexander) Madden. Raised in Richmond, California she attended elementary and Junior High Schools in Richmond and graduated from Berkeley High School in Berkeley, California.

After Graduation Donna moved to Portland, Oregon where she met the love of her life Vertis Fuller. Donna worked for Port Haven Retirement Home as a CNA for over 20 years. Donna was a member of Macedonia Temple Church of the 21st Century. She loved to praise and worship the Lord. She was eager to study the bible and would attend bible study. When she became ill and could not attend church she continued to read and study the bible. She knew that with God’s grace and mercy she would enter into the gates of heaven.

Donna was full of energy and laughter. She would make you smile and laugh with her untimely jokes and hilarious antics. She was cheerful and loved telling old stories about her family and friends to her children, grandchildren and other relatives.
Donna loved to shop, get her nails done, watch movies and talk on the phone. She loved helping people and would reach out to those who needed encouragement and support. She loved spending time with her great grandson because he brought her great joy and happiness.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Sallie Madden, brothers, Myron and Joseph Madden Sr., sisters Belita Richardson and Sally (Madden) Spears, nephews, George and Orlando Reed and her soul mate Vertis Fuller.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, LaVertis Fuller and LaDonna Fuller, and one son Leamon Fuller, four grandchildren, Da’Neetrah Campbell, Da’Shawna Campbell, Qshawn Ongele and Da’Monie Campbell, one great-grandson Romello Gomez, brother, Lloyd G. Madden (Cassandra), sister, Eleanor Reed and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will be missed by her special friends Veronica, Kurt, and Patsy.
