Donald "Donnie" F Spencer

Donnie was born in Detroit Michigan on November 28 th 1956.
In 1962 the family moved to Portland Oregon where Donnie attended local elementary and
middle schools Humboldt, and Faubion. And went on to graduate from Jefferson High School.
Donnie, in his early years developed a love for music that continued through his adult years. At
one point, he had more albums than you could even count.
But the thing that brought him the most happiness was his love for sports. Especially basketball.
You could often find him reading and studying the sports section of the paper thoroughly.
Scouring the pages for the latest stats for his favorite teams and players.
He not only enjoyed watching ball on television, he also loved to play the game.
You could often find him at the basketball courts around town playing pick up games. As time
went on and he could no longer play himself, he still liked to watch and listen to the games.
He also would attend his nephews high school games and tournaments. A true super fan.
He loved his nephews and nieces, and his great nephews and nieces very much and always
talked about them and their accomplishments to everyone.
Donnie didn’t have a lot, but he was always offering to help and to share what he did have.
There aren’t enough words or time to say everything we remember and would like to share
about him.
The most important things are these:
He was loved.
He is missed.
