Donald Frazier, Jr. Obituary

Donald Tyrone Frazier Jr., affectionately known as "Ty," was born on July 22, 1981, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon, to his proud and devoted parents, Donald and Rebecca Frazier. From an early age, Ty's vibrant spirit, warm heart, and infectious smile left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud graduate of Portland Christian High School, Ty distinguished himself as a passionate and talented basketball player. His love for the game led him to Cascade College, where he not only honed his athletic skills but also embraced the invaluable lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline—qualities that shaped him throughout his life.

Faith was foundational to Ty's journey. As a devoted musician, he served as a drummer for both the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Junior Choir and the Genesis Fellowship Praise Team. He found a profound sense of peace and connection with God during his solitary practice sessions, where his musical gift truly shone.

Above all, Ty was a proud father to his beloved children, Trey Hickmann-Frazier (mother, Calah Hickman) and Makiyah Stevens (mother, Dana Stevens). They were his greatest motivation, his "why" during life's challenging moments, and the source of his deepest joy.

For seven years, he built a life of love and companionship with his wife, Katie Ann, sharing in life's adventures alongside their cherished dogs—Bella, Deacon, King, and Bear.

Family was everything to Ty. He adored his mother Rebecca and honored his father Donald Sr. He was a loving and protective big brother to his siblings, Angela, Velynn, and AJ, and a guiding light to his cherished nephews, Isaiah, Jalen, Zachariah and Darius, and nieces, Iyaana, Aliyah, and Nya. His presence as a son, brother and uncle was one of warmth, humor, and unwavering support.

Ty was also an incredibly dedicated and hardworking professional, earning the respect of colleagues at Eaton, Olympus Controls, Cornell Pump Company, OHSU, and Multnomah County Corrections. His strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression wherever he went.

Beyond his career, Ty was a man of many passions. He had an effortless ability to bring laughter to any room, a deep loyalty to those he loved, and a heart that never hesitated to give. He was an accomplished cook, taking pride in his grilling skills, especially on his beloved Traeger. He found peace in the great outdoors, enjoying camping, hiking, fishing, and exploring the beauty of Hawaii. His special connection with dogs earned him the playful title of "dog whisperer" among family and friends.

Ty leaves behind a legacy of love through his parents, Donald Sr. and Rebecca Frazier; his children, Trey and Makiyah; his siblings, Angela, Velynn, and AJ; and a vast extended family, including uncles, aunts, and cousins from the Frazier and Dixon families. He also leaves behind countless friends whose lives he touched and his beloved, faithful fur companion, Day Day.

Though Ty's physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to shine through the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the countless memories he created with those he held dear. His legacy of joy, generosity, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Rest in love and peace, Ty. Your presence was a gift, and your life will be cherished
