David Price, III went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2023, in Portland, Oregon. He was born in Greenwood, Mississippi to the union of David Price Jr. and Myrdis Price on September 25,1950. His family moved to New York In 1955 then moved in 1956 to Portland, Oregon.
David graduated from Jefferson High School. He attended both PSU and OSU then went on to trade school to become a licensed plumber completing his apprenticeship and earning his journeyman certification on March 12, 1985. David met his wife Marilyn in 1982 while in trade school and they married in 1983 and were married for nearly 40 years. He obtained many plumber specialty certifications and maintained his membership in the Plumbers Union, Plumbers L.U. 51 for over 40 years. David worked for the Portland Public School District until he retired in 2010.
David was devoted to studying the bible and was an exceptional history buff. He enjoyed learning to play the saxophone and he loved all types of fishing. He was also truly talented when it came to grilling fish and barbecuing. David had a passion for training and entering his purebred Labrador Retrievers Sadie, Gunther and Levi in club competitions.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Price, Jr., his mother, Myrdris Price and grandparents Eddie and Laura Parson.
David is survived by his wife Marilyn J. Price, his sister Lomi Price and nephew Craig Price of Portland, OR; grandniece Alexys Price, great nephew Gregorio, great nieces, Ah’Lyvia, Ah’layah of Phoenix, AZ any many friends.
David will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
