Darnell Washington was born on September 1, 1963, to the union of Walter and Irma Lee Washington in Chicago, Il.
Darnell accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He reestablished his walk with Christ in March of 1985 under the leadership Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Bremerton, WA and ordained as a deacon. He shared his faith everywhere he went.
Darnell married KrisAnn in April 2011 and moved to Portland, OR They had a blended family of three children, and eight grandkids.
Darnell was a leader in his industry and a very outspoken person who touched the lives of so many.
Affectionately known as “Uncle” in the community, he enjoyed coaching, counseling and training others. He embodied an incredible sense of humor with a big loving heart. His radiant smile and personality enlightened the spirit of his family, and he had a passion to impact under-privileged kids that he served. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife KrisAnn; his children, Charles, Crystal and Jelicia; grandchildren, Larry Jr., Jayshawn, Anjal, Mario, Deyvon, Zariah, Kemya and Mikeya; his siblings: Deborah, Katherine, Elnovis (Albert) and Larnell (Ebony), along with his ex-wife Felicia and a host of nieces, nephews loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr. and Irma Lee Washington; brothers Walter Jr., Efrem, and John Washington.
"A memorial service will be held in the Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church, 2902 N. Rodney St., Portland, OR on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Repast will follow directly after service. The family suggest that memorials gifts and cards should be giving to his loving wife KrisAnn Washington.
