Daniel “Dan” Carl Correll was born into a large Italian family on March 28, 1938 in Portland, Oregon. After the war, he moved with his mother and step-father to Tennessee where they farmed and raised dairy cattle.
In 1952, Dan’s parents moved him and his brother, Mike, back to Portland, Oregon. In 1956, Dan graduated from Franklin High School and left for the Navy. While stationed in Philadelphia, he met the love of his life, Mary, on a blind date. They married in 1958. Their son, Dan Jr., was born while Dan was still in Navy.
After his service was completed in 1960, they moved across country back to Portland. The family grew with the welcoming of Lorrie in 1961, Penny in 1963, and Tina in 1967. Dan continued his career in the electrical field and started his own company in 1970. He brought his son and son-in-law into the business as electricians. The company continued until 2010.
Dan so enjoyed his motor homes and traveling with Mary whenever they could get away. His family was his shining glory. He also enjoyed playing blackjack and carving. But most of all he loved his Mary.
Dan, I so love you and you will be greatly missed.
