Daisy Mildred Cade

Daisy Mildred Cade entered into this earthly life on December 23, 1948, in Clarksdale, Mississippi.  She was the youngest child born to the union of Clarence and Elouise Streeter. God dispatched His angels to carry her to eternal rest on January 11, 2022.  

As a child, Daisy attended Saints Junior College from 1st through 12th grade.  While receiving her education, she enjoyed home economics courses that taught her how to sew and bake.  She was also part of the school’s drill team.  At the age of 10, Daisy was baptized while attending St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Lexington, Mississippi.   

 On February 27, 1967, Daisy married Willie B. Cade, Sr.  To this union were three sons: Jesse, Willie Jr., and Clarence.  Daisy took pride in raising her sons and taking care of her family, which spilled over into her joy of taking care of others.  She worked at various nursing facilities in Portland, OR including Fernhill Care Center, Marquis Care Center (formerly Dell’s Care Center) and as a private sitter.

Daisy was a faithful member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed family gatherings and would get great pleasure in watching the children play.  She had no issues with saying whatever was on her mind, all while making people laugh at the same time. 

 Daisy was preceded in death by her husband; Willie B. Cade, Sr., parents; Clarence Streeter, Jr. and Elouise Russell, and son; Willie B. Cade, Jr.

Left to cherish her legacy are sons; Jesse Cade (Lillian) and Clarence Cade (Tieanna), daughter in-law; Sundrina Munoz of Portland, OR; sisters; Essie Sly of Portland, OR and Elouise Hudson (James) of Dallas, TX; brothers; Zelner Streeter (Debra), Sr. and David Streeter (Ramona) of Portland, OR, and Larry Thomas of Lincoln, NE, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
