Christopher James Lavine was born April 8, 1990, to his parents Quinette Marie Cross and Herman
Charles Lee. Chris was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind
his mother Quinette, father Herman, brothers Michael Cross, JyQuawn McDavid, and Dey’Shaun Lee,
sister Trayana Lee, and many other relatives and friends. He will be missed by many.
Chris was an amazing person with a caring and giving heart. He loved his family and friends endlessly
and was known to literally give the shirt off his back to someone he thought needed it more. Chris was a
good man, full of energy and always willing to help. Chris enjoyed the outdoors and activities such as
fishing. Chris also liked to travel and see new places. He was a fearless adventurer, always ready to
pick-up and go. Chris was no stranger to struggle. However, from a young age he was determined to
overcome barriers and persevere. Life is hard. Chris should be remembered by his bright smile, selfless
acts, quiet and humble disposition, effortless humor, and his determination to independently succeed
and do great things.
We are all devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved Christopher James Lavine at
the young age of 34. Chris was able to find his way into a special place in each our hearts. We come
together not only to grieve, but to also remember and celebrate his brief and wondrous life. Through
his memory, may we find peace in knowing this is not a forever goodbye. Chris has touched the lives of
many. May we pray together, knowing, we have touched his.
