Chever Hall, Jr. Obituary

Chever Daniel Hall, Jr.  was born on August 28, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Rutha Lee (Williams) Hall and Chever Daniel Hall, Sr. The Lord called Chever home on October 2, 2025, surrounded by his family.

As a child Chever was a member of Jamison Memorial Temple CME Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Phyllis Wheatley Grade School. Chever graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri where he played football as a running back. Chever received his associates degree at University of Missouri in Rolla, Missouri.

Chever moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Portland, Oregon August 27, 2011.   After his move to Portland, he was very proud that his recovery date was also August 27, 2011. After relocating to Portland, he met and married the love of his life, Brenda Cabine on August 17, 2019. As you can see August is a very special month. Chever joined Allen Temple CME Church in 2023 where he served on the Steward Board. He regularly helped at Allen Temple Food Bank when needed.

Chever retired in 2020 from Herc Rentals Company. Chever leaves to cherish his loving and supportive wife of 6 years Brenda Cabine Hall; his two wonderful daughters, Danielle ChaLise Hall of Raymore, Missouri and Bridget Louise Rice of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Kiliyana Williams, Paydon Owens, Christian Owens, Sylvester Sisco III, Breah Sisco, and Gerald Rice Jr., and two great grandchildren, Sylvester Sisco IV and Mylan Long.

Chever also cherishes his bonus son, Samuel D Mason and three additional bonus grandchildren, Shantell Guyton, Samuel D Mason Jr, and KeShawn Mason.

Chever leaves two sisters, Getta Hall of Kansas City, Missouri and Kaye Thomas (Bernard) of Richmond, Virginia and special cousins Tolbert Pratt and Joseph Hall. Special acknowledgment to Ella "Lulu" Kelly, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and many friends.

The entire Cabine family sends love to Chever’s family because he was loved from the time he started dating Brenda and later becoming a part of this family.

If you did not know much about Chever’s personal life, or what direction the conversation was going, one thing you soon found out he was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan.  We all will be eating chocolate that he loved so much and thinking of him every time the Kansas City Chiefs play.

GO CHIEFS!!
