Cathy Hollins

Cathy Lynne Hollins was born on Monday September 9, 1963, in Portland, OR to the union of Nathaniel and Betty Martin. Cathy was number 8 out of nine children.

Cathy attended Humboldt and Parkrose Knott elementary school, ParkroseHeights Jr High and Parkrose Senior High School and graduated in 1981.

On December 26, 1981, Cathy married Robert N. Hollins III to that union in 1983 Eileen Hollins was born. Cathy was a hard and dedicated worker, often working long hours to
complete projects.

Cathy started working for Bureau of Land Management at 16, and then for Bonneville Power Administration where she met many of her close and lifelong friends. Cathy received numerous awards throughout her career and after 37 years, Cathy retired in February 2020. Cathy had 3 grandchildren who she loved, adored and helped raise.

Cathy was a very nice, kind, loving and always offering to help someone and did not take “no” for an answer. Family was very important to Cathy and she would often attend many functions even when she did not feel good herself. Cathy enjoyed reading, cooking, going to the movies, and she was good at Arts and Crafts.

Preceding Cathy in her death were her parents: Nathaniel and Betty Martin, brother- Paul P. Johnson, Sisters- Maria Lockett, Elaine Higgins, Diana Vann, and Beverly Harvey. Brother –in-laws: Felix Higgins, Milton Lockett and Cleodis Vann. Niece- Tamara Best and Nephew- Randy Patterson

Cathy leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter- Eileen R. Hollins, grandchildren- Rico, Jayda and Jordan Rogers, Siblings- Donald Johnson (Diana), Vonnette-Martin Phillips (Maurice) and Carol Battles (Eric) and a
host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
