Willie Kemp Jr., was born March 8, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Willie’s family moved to Flint, Michigan where he attended school at South Western High School. Willie worked as a cook for Michigan State University and for G.M. for several years.
Willie finally settled in Portland, Oregon working as a truck driver for Portland General Electric for 40 years. Portland is where Willie met and fell in love with his lovely wife Perry.
Willie is welcomed into our Fathers house by his parents, Willie Kemp Sr. and Beatrice Kemp; four siblings, Ethel Kemp, Pearline Kemp, Frank Kemp, and Kenny Kemp; and his uncle, Drew Kemp.
Left to cherish Willie’s memory is his lovely wife of 37 years, Perry Kemp; his siblings, Louise Evans, Cora Kemp, Inell Kemp and James Kemp all of Michigan; his children, Tommie Kemp (Kimberly), Kevin Kemp (Stephanie), Wendy Murchison (Eugene); his uncle, Arthur Smith and wife Hattie; a host of grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousin’s and great friends, spanning from Flint, Michigan, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Minden, Louisiana and Portland, Oregon.
