Sandra Johnson

Sandra Faye (Chaney) Johnson was born in Meridian, MS, to Inez Chaney and Doss Adams on Wednesday, June 20, 1946. Sandra was the oldest sibling of nine children born to her mother.

In 1952, Sandra moved with her mother, grandmother and 3 siblings to Portland, OR. Sandra grew up in the N/NE Portland neighborhoods, where she attended Eliot & Boise Elementary Schools and graduated from Jefferson High School, night school program, in 1964. Later that year Sandra, gave birth to her oldest son, Kevin Johnson.

In 1974, Sandra became the wife Charles E. Johnson; by which the two welcomed their son, Damion Johnson.

Sandra, worked at the Wausau Insurance Company for many years. She later retired with the Portland Housing Authority.

Sandra enjoyed reading and listening to Kool and the gang on the radio.

Our beloved Sandra, passed away peacefully on the , morning of April 18, 2019 at the Glisan Care Facility. Sandra was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mittie Bell, mother, Inez, auntie, Cannie Mae and two siblings, Mittie Ann and Willie James. She leaves to mourn, her two sons, Kevin and Damion Johnson, her husband, Charles Johnson, grand children Kevin Scott Johnson and Savannah Johnson, two great-grand children, Tyson Lee, Myah Marie, and godson, Lukie Eliott. Siblings; Alice Chaney, Rosie Chaney, Earl Chaney, Clifford Chaney, Steven Chaney, and Tresa Chaney (Berry). She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
