Ronny Crawford Jr. Obituary

Ronny was born in Portland, OR on September 15, 1976 to Rosalind Vonn Menefee and Ronnie Crawford Sr. Ronnie was raised by his father and his grandparents Fayrene & Carl Strong Sr.. From an early age Ronny attended Allen Temple C.M.E Church with his granny where she nurtured his faith. He attended Gregory Heights Middle School and graduated from Tigard High School. Ronny was an award winning baseball player all through school.

Ronny found his professional calling as a salesman at a young age when granny encouraged him to mow lawns for extra money. He started in retail as a teenager where he learned the art of sales. He later transitioned into selling cars and wanted to be the best car salesman in the country. Ronny reached that goal by becoming a highly acclaimed salesmen. His job in car sales took him all over the country as a traveling dealer, allowing him to meet many people from different walks of life, no matter where he traveled Oregon was always home. He had an eye for business and fashion, he started a car detailing service called Dust to Diamonds, he also started to tag the world with RC clothing, and Kings with Style (KWS) where he introduced us all to the latest fashions.

Ronny enjoyed going fishing and crabbing, play pool, watching college football and his favorite basketball teams the University of North Carolina and the Portland Trailblazers. He loved to cook, he would bring his famous Gumbo to every family function, and have fish fry’s. He was quite the charmer as he grew into adulthood, his handsome looks made him quite the ladies’ man. In, 1996, his first son was born, that quickly transitioned him from a boy to a man. One of his biggest achievements was becoming a father. Ronny loved his children with all his heart, he aspired to be the best father he could for them.

If you knew Ronny you know how much he loved his family. Whenever it was time to say goodbye he would instead say “love you”. Ronny was the eldest grandchild a role that he wore with pride. He was a big brother, a big cousin, a mentor, a protector, a disciplinarian and a friend.

Ronny was preceded in death by his mother and father. His grandfather’s Wilbert T. Menefee and Carl Strong Sr. His aunt Camilla Menefee, his uncles Donnie Crawford Sr., Wilbert T. Menefee Jr., and Larry Crawford.

Ronny leaves to cherish his memory, his loving granny (Fayrene), his aunts (Kristi, Joyce, Charlene and Wilhelmina). His sister (Kimberly Barnett and Raterra Brown), his brothers (LeAndrew
Menefee, Damien and Patrick Crawford). His sun rose and set on his only daughter Aliyah Rosalind and his sons Trevor, Ryun, Andrew Lee, Ronnie III, and Ryland. He also leaves his nephew’s, cousins, co-workers and longtime friends, Ryun, Stevie, Demar, and Israel. We know that there are many, many, more, too many to name, but we love you all for loving him.
