Reginald Thompkins Obituary

Reginald Glenn Thompkins “Reggie” was born on Thursday, March 5, 1970 to Ruth M. Thompkins and Emanuel L. Jones. Reggie attended Clarkton Elementary, King Elementary, Whitaker Middle School, Jefferson High School and Job Corp. Reggie completed his Job Corp program and attained his General Education Diploma in 1988.

Reggie was a steadfast individual. He was very excellent with his hands, you always knew when he was up to something when you found a stereo or television taken apart and other household items were connected. One thing for sure Reggie found appealing was making sure his music was on point after inventing a surround sound stereo system to connect to the television set. Reggie was full of life with laughter and dancing no matter how life circumstances went.

Reggie cherished his sister “Dee-Dee” more than life itself.  We would always say, these two is like peas in a pot. When he spoke, she finished the sentence. Reggie loved to cook, dance, sing, travel and spend time with family and friends. Family was important to him as he embraced family values of togetherness. If Reggie had a problem or a disagreement everyone knew who was coming to solve the problem “Dee-Dee”. Family and friends knew there was no win with the both of them.

Preceding Reggie in death; his father, Emanuel L. Jones; grandparents, Sophie Woods,  John Misouria, Lilly Jones, and Elijah Jones; and nephew, Malik Spain.
